Professional extreme sports riders on bikes, blades and boards from all corners of the globe have joined together at the BudaPart - Kopaszi Gát park to showcase their skills and mix with local and regional riders at the inaugural FISE Budapest World Action Sports Festival. Qualifications began for amateur and pro competitors this morning on three different stages: Wakesurf and Wakeboarders cruising on the Danube River, BMX Flat riders and Skateboarders finessing tricks on the flatland platform, and the Roller and BMX Freestylers boosting on the gigantic ramp course. Budapest spectators both young and old who flocked to the park throughout the day were able to see some world-class athletes perform technical tricks, with even bigger runs to come.
After a scorching hot and sun-filled day, the rankings are set for this weekend’s battle for top spot. Locals can stop by free of charge all weekend to see who will be crowned champion of the second global tour stop of the FISE World Action Sports Festival.
Fans worldwide can tune into the live stream on the FISE’s official Facebook page.
