It seems to be ages since 13 of our riders armed with their bikes, tried to take apart Grand Canary Island. We almost succeeded but the island has so many great spots so there are plenty left for yet another road trip. The spots seem endless, even when we were on our way back to the airport we sadly had to recognize that there are some undiscovered spots we didn’t ride this time. Almost 1 ½ months passed since this trip and articles in Freedom magazine and DIG

will always recall the amazing time. We really had an awesome time, this might be because we could ride our bikes having 25° and wearing a T-shirt in the middle of December, which wasn’t the norm for most of us. Besides, we were 13 BMX riders from 7 countries all having a different compatible humor so it came naturally that we couldn’t stop laughing throughout the whole trip. We laughed, we drank and we rode our bikes, as mentioned before. So the written stories are always a good reminder of the good times, but moving images are even better.

Friends, yesterday I had the opportunity to watch the first preview of the Ravage Video and I have to say, it really reflects what we experienced, a full load of fun!
Ravage road trip starring:
Starting off with
Paddy who cannot fail any trip and rides his bike as if there is no morning, even though he has 3 broken ribs (as we got to know after the trip). Next up is
Bruno, who probably can do more tricks at a curb than
Matt Hoffman during “Aggroman” times (no, not really).
Owain Clegg, who was injured, but still managed to make the best out of every situation.
Hannu, who always manages to impress people. Then there was
Ben, who just is the madness himself and
Stevan Lantschner, who at the moment is one of the best, most creative and stylish riders in the world. And,
Barry Barcardi who already with his mid-twenties has a voice like
Lemmy from Motörhead and probably drinks as much as well. Not to be forgotten,
Benni and
Arthur, who both were sick and spent most of the time in bed.

Joining us were also,
Georg Oberlechner (photo) and
Woozy (Film). And of course,
Andy the emperor!
Here’s another tip: if you should be on the way to a road trip to Grand Canary, always watch the long arm of the law, the cops are hot… Carhartt Ravage Movie will be out beginning of

March.
