Despite the Covid-19 pandemic the Toyota BMX Triple Challenge took place in Houston on Saturday. The set-up consisted of a big portable roll-in, two giant sets and the quarterpipe at the end. Some serious talent made it to Texas for the comp and watch the first round of the Monster Supercross event in the evening. When everything was done and dusted this is how the podium looked:

This is a bit of an experiment that depends on my phone data, and it will be a bit lowfi as I move around and film the event for real, but here are (hopefully) the Qualifiers at the Toyota Triple Challenge in Anaheim 2. If this works, expect to see finals here on Saturday.

BMX and motocross go hand in hand, especially at select Monster Energy Supercross events where the Party In the Pits thanks to the Toyota BMX Triple Challenge. Some of the best riders in the world came to Anaheim to throw down their two best tricks on a couple of giant dirt jumps. I don't mean this in any sort of bad way, but someone just called these events as a "double best trick event" and there's really no better way to describe it. It's not a trail event. It's not about style per-say. It's about laying down your two best tricks and rolling away clean and alive (no, the quarter doesn't count). The second stop of the Toyota Triple Challenge (triple because there's three events) was the absolute highest level of riding I've seen at basically any event and I'm sure there's more to come with the final stop going down in Arlington, Texas on 2/17...
