What was your influence getting a Colony shoe done over at Vans?
Ryan Guettler: Clint Millar the owner of colony has been one of my best mates for a long time and any way I can help him or Colony I will. I had the whip shoe with Vans and could see Vans could take on another BMX shoe. I suggested it to Jerry Badders the TM and he was all for it. Clint met with Vans and did a meeting and they talked about colors and styles of shoes and got the steps of making the shoe happen

Turns out there are two versions of it. Are they colourways with custom insoles, or a completely new shoe? And why two models?
Ryan Guettler: The colours are the same on both shoes and the reason for 2 shoes is because one is for riding (Wylie) and the other is a more slim walking house shoe (Milo), but I have ridden in both shoes and they're really good. You can feel your pedals more on the slim pair.

When are they going to be available in the stores?
Ryan Guettler: I asked vans that 2 days ago when I was at the HQ's and they said they're coming out this week world wide

You live closer to the Vans offices now, any more plans with them for 2012?
Ryan Guettler: Well, I will ride for them for the rest of my life even if they kick me off. But as of right now we're just focused on selling the Colony shoe which means doing web edits and road trips to promote it to the fullest.
