With Mercedes as a sponsor, can the winner win a tricked out car?
Jan: We would have a car for a winner for some time period, which is nice.
What can be won at the event?
Jan: We have 30 000 CZK for a prize money. That is about 1100 Euro. It's not huge motivation for riders, but it's a really good motivation for the Czech riders. To be honest, I would like to see riders who love BMX, not riders who love a money:) It's one of the bigger contests in the Czech Republic, how many riders do you expect and how many people to watch?
Jan: The contest time schedule is made for a maximum of 40 riders in the amateur category and 40 riders in the PRO category. Also we expect about 3-5K visitors.
It will be held at an aqua park, so fun all day, even if you're not riding?
Jan: Yes, that's an important point. We would like to present our sport on public places between the general public. The Aqua park is a good choice for a summer time. Good place where everyone can enjoy a day.
What kind of ramp will be used for the competition?
Jan: It's our new VSA Xtreme Monster Energy spine miniramp. Part of the ramp is also a funbox, spine, subrail, subbox, wall ride and an extension in a quarter.
What will the competition format be like? Jan: We do a 5 riders groups and they have a time of 12 minutes. Which is about 3 times 40s. To the finals go 10 best riders.
Nick Bruce won last year. Who are some of the riders you're expecting to show up for the 2015 version?
Jan: I still trying to invite as many riders as I know. Hope this article helps me out.
Where can people find more info on the contest?
Jan: On our website www.vsaxtreme.com in an English version.
