With Patrick Guimez and Markus Hampl behind the jump design, how is your trust in the jumps?
Rhys Kember: I'm sure they will be great I know the boys would want to make it a master piece and a joy to ride.
The LOD is more than just riding. Have you packed your swim shorts?
Rhys Kember: Yeah I sure have I can't wait to see what's on offer and soak up everything LOD has there.
Who do you think will do well at this year's Lords Of Dirt contest?
Rhys Kember: Well I've been watching some posts from Jaie Toohey recently and he is looking super relaxed and riding well coming into the comp so I'd say he will go well.
Do you think you're going to bring a new trick for the 'Best Trick' contest?
Rhys Kember: Well there is a trick I have in mind that hasn't been done before but I'm gonna have to make sure the jump is feeling good for it but if it feels good then I'm hoping to land it for you all there.
Which are your local trails?
Rhys Kember: Red Hill and Castle Cove are the closest but I try to ride everywhere I can.
How much time do you spend digging there?
Rhys Kember: Lately I haven't even had time to ride let alone dig but it's always part and parcel that you have a dig before a ride and we have dig days here and there where like 20 dudes come out and just build.
How much better does it feel when the trails are well watered and shaped before the session starts?
Rhys Kember: When you look after jumps it's as smooth as butter, everything feels mint.
What is the best set of trails you've ridden at?
Rhys Kember: Cam White's jumps are by far my favourite, massive jumps, effortless and badass! crafted by the man him self cam white.
Who do you admire as a dirt jump builder?
Rhys Kember: Again Cam White number 1 for sure.
When riders from 17 countries get together at the Lords Of Dirt, what do you think is going to happen?
Rhys Kember: Mega sesh! Good times, great riding and a whole lot of fun! Yeeeew!
