me when are you riding a contest in The Netherlands. I always had to answer that I didn't know. So yes I am really happy there is something happening now and I can show my riding to the home crowd. Also the size of this event and located in the middle of a big city like The Hague will hopefully help the sport to grow even more. To have Drew Bezanson in The Netherlands for a week is awesome. Did you ride anywhere together with him this week?
Daniel Wedemeijer: It's for sure awesome to have Drew over here for the event and some more days. We rode the 040BMXPark together to shoot some pictures with you FATBMX, Aaron Zwaal and film an Orange Juice exclusive edit.
Are you riding both dirt and park this weekend?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Normally I don't ride both just park but I think if the dirt jumps will fit me I will give it a go.
Do you feel any pressure for the contest that's coming up?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Riding in front of my home crowd with all my family and friends on the side line always gives some extra pressure. I am not going to lie that I had one night this week where I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about the whole contest.
Having a Pro BMX Freestyle event in the middle of a big city is pretty unique. Do you think the crowd will love it?
Daniel Wedemeijer: It's always good to have an event held in the middle of a big city. Hopefully the "mainstream" crowd will also stop by the event and soak up the energy of what extreme sports is all about.
Are there any other sports you want to check out this weekend?
Daniel Wedemeijer: I mean I would love to watch every rider on every other sport this weekend! I love watching sports no matter what it is. But looking at my own time schedule I will probably have to go for some in between looks at the other sports. MTB dirts is for sure one to watch.
Any advice to the people who want to come over?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Bring a smile sit back and enjoy every single moment at ProFreestyle this weekend!
