How many weekends/days were you away from home and at a BMX jam/contest or on tour?
Daniel Wedemeijer: It's been a lot of traveling this year. I would say about 30 weeks away from home. Feels good to be home now for a little while.
What was the best event you went to this year that gets your vote?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Fise Montpellier is on top as it's been the last years. Such great vibes and loving the Fise spirit.
What contest placing were you stoked on this year?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Not really stoked about one spectacular result. Stoked for sure that I was back on the bike after the 7 months shoulder injury.
What trick/move were you happy to pull for the first time this year?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Still happy to be able to throw some more barspins haha. I was never a fan of them.
What BMX move stands out the most to you that somebody did this year?
Daniel Wedemeijer: So many riders did great and big things on their bike. For me seeing others reaching goals is something which always stands out!
Who had the best looking bike in 2017?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Don't wanna be arrogant but my bike was looking great! Thanks Haro Bikes and Paul's Boutique BMX shop.
Who had the best video/video-part that stuck out to you?
Daniel Wedemeijer: All videos Dennis Enerson dropped were sick.
What was your worst injury in 2017?
Daniel Wedemeijer: I started the year with my shoulder injury. My worst injury ever! Breaking my jaw wasn't fun either.
Worst thing that happened while you’re on the road?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Not especially on the road but getting the visa for China was a nightmare.
How many flat tires did you have the past 12 months?
Daniel Wedemeijer: I would say about 2! Best year since I started riding.
Best meal you had?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Wherever they had pasta!
Best party you visited in 2017?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Fise afterparty in China was great. Haven't been to many this year.
Raddest person you got to hang out with this year?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Being able the bring my girlfriend to all competitions was great.
Best thing you saw in 2017?
Daniel Wedemeijer: BMX becoming an Olympic Sport!
Plans for 2018?
Daniel Wedemeijer: Getting back on the podium!
