Brodie: Bike mechanic part time, and I have been doing a bit of festival work lately.
Everyone here call you the kiwi guy! I'm always wondering if is that an offence for you?
Brodie: Na don't bother me.
Have you done any travels yet? or just Australia and New Zealand?
Brodie: Not yet I'm trying to save so I can travel next year.
What's your daily routine when not working?
Brodie: Wake up, watch a bmx dvd, then call or text mates to see who's not working and keen for a ride, then head out somewhere, then get home go to the pub if I can be bothered and have some beers and catch up with the lady.
How did you get into riding?
Brodie: There used to be dirt from the graves at the woods beside the cemetery, and me and some mates went down there and built some small dirt jumps, they didn't last long as the council dozed them. So my mate Puha went down and threw rocks through the windows haha, he got in trouble but the council ended up giving us some land to build and the jumps are still there today, along with the skatepark beside them that I got to design and build as well.
What's the best feeling about riding your bike?
Brodie: Trails is the best feeling.
When you go out everyday riding, do you think of he tricks you wanna do or just ride and see how it feels?
Brodie: Usually just go out see how I feel, but if I go out filming I usually want to get some shit done.
Is BMX just a sport or a lifestyle?
Brodie: Lifestyle, my life would be completly different if I didn't ride.
Do you like comps? have you ever done a big one?
Brodie: Don't really like the whole competitive thing, I went in Xair in New Zealand ages ago but didn't really take it seriously.
Last week, I've seen you jumping fast as hell out of a kicker and won the long jump contest at the drains. Is it all about speed man?
Brodie: Speed and hopping as high as you can.
I ask you because everytime we're at the park some kids ask me why can you go so fast, I think it's not only for 27-9 gearing, right?
Brodie: Yeah I guess, I just like the feeling of pedalling as fast as I can.
Oh, yeah, and we wanna talk about your boost? this is another question from the kids at the skatepark. ahahahah can you explain that?
Brodie: I duno I think it's just something I have always done.
What about filming and shooting? are you in? which one do you prefer?
Brodie: I really like doing both.
Do you wanna tell us about the dvd that is coming out with your part in it?
Brodie: Flowvisuals underground. It is about to drop in the next few weeks, my mate Paul Gerlich has been working on it for over a year now.My younger bro Tyler has got a section in it too, and along with a lot of other New Zealand Riders.
What's your favourite spot in Brisbane?
Brodie: Outside the bottleshop and the pub.. ahahah. Maybe Kuraby Fairfields. it's pretty good too.
Do you like all the fashion about clothes and riding stlyles that hit bmx from year to year? or you just don't care?
Brodie: Don't really care, I've stuck to wearing jeans and a tshirt from day one, and I just do whatever feels good on my bike.
What are your goals with riding?
Brodie: Travel as much as I can and ride as long as I can.
What do you expect from the future? you take it as it comes or you have any long term plans?
Brodie: Pretty much just go with the flow. My only plans are to travel and ride as much as I can.

A good roast, pizza, fish, I love eating fish.

Freddy got figered, Kevin and Perry go large, house of a thousand corpses and the sequence devils regects.
-top 3 bands?
I listen to drum and bass when I ride, mainly lime wax, Evol intent, Deiselboy. I like a bit of metal too.
-girls?
I have an awesome lady, she loves bmx, gets a bit pissed when I ditch her for my bike all the time though haha.
-top 3 bmx videos?
Building the underground, No front teeth, and I just watched S&M "I wanna live" while doing this interview. It's pretty damn good.
-trick?
Depends what mood I'm in. Blasting a big table is such a good feeling.
