Monster Energy congratulates Larry Edgar on his strong second-place finish in the BMX Street Style event as an extension of the Toyota BMX Triple Challenge in Arlington, Texas, this Saturday. In front of a high-energy crowd at AT&T Stadium, the 26-year-old from Corona, California, put his full aerial mastery on display to claim a podium finish in an elite field of riders.

The special one-off BMX Street competition went down as part of the Pit Party fan festival during this weekend’s Monster Energy Supercross event in the home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys football team. Some of the world’s best BMX riders attacked a one-of-a-kind downhill course stacked with ramps, trailers, jersey barriers, wallrides, and rails.

Everyone wouldn't mind a raw cut of the Best Trick Jam. Not the biggest crew of riders, but the unique course opened it up to some atypical "best tricks" that you won't find at normal dirt events.

The level of BMX progression is off the charts right now and Monster Energy riders are pushing the boundaries. In front of a capacity crowd at the Skatepark Metro Puebla 2, the 26-year-old from Corona, California, earned his podium spot despite a knee injury in a highly contested finals featuring the world’s best BMX park riders.

Also walking away with a trophy, Monster Energy’s Kevin Peraza took first place in the progression-driven Best Trick event. Let’s hear it for the rookie! Monster Energy congratulates Jose Torres from Argentina on claiming the bronze medal in BMX Park at X Games Minneapolis 2019 on Saturday. In front of an energetic crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, the 24-year-old from Cordoba, Argentina, took home his first X Games medal and became the first rider from Argentina to medal in BMX. Saturday’s BMX action kicked off on the full-featured concrete bowl course with Men’s BMX Park. In the 15-minute finals session featuring the weekend’s top six riders, the recipe for success was going big and stacking as many tricks as possible into flawless runs. Maintaining good flow and speed was also key, as the vast concrete bowl course offered lots of obstacles to cover, including rails, boxes, bowl corners, vert sections, and spine ramps in only 30 seconds per run.

Torres came into the competition as a rookie, having just earned his ticket to Minneapolis in the Boise Road to X Games qualifier in July. Last year, Torres was sidelined from competing at X Games Minneapolis by a wrist injury sustained directly after qualifying. But this year, there was no holding back the 24-year-old.

In the intense final session, Torres covered the entire course in trick-heavy runs featuring downside tailwhip, barspin backflip over the spine, barspin wheelie over the box, double tailwhip into the bank, wall bash barspin, flair barspin, as well as high-flying 360 barspin and frontflip over centerpiece box. The judges rewarded his technical moves and consistency with the bronze medal, which Torres accepted

This year’s summer X Games just ended with a bang! Monster Energy congratulates Mike Varga on taking gold in Dave Mirra’s BMX Park Best Trick at X Games Minneapolis 2019 inside U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday. In a progression-driven jam session featuring the world’s most gifted BMX freestyle riders, the 22-year-old from Oshawa, Canada, took home the win – and his first career X Games medal – with a never-been-done BMX trick. His teammate, 24-year-old Kevin Peraza from Tucson, Arizona, earned a strong third place finish in the gold medal-only event.
