For the 2nd consecutive year, Intense BMX has been named the bike of the year by the racers of the American Bicycle Association. Intense BMX is proud to have achieved and given such an honor by the BMX racers of the ABA. 2006 has been a big year for Intense BMX. From the Sabot frame taking many racers to national and world titles, the addition of the new complete line of Intense BMX race ready bikes, and the introduction of the all new 2007 Podium frame line, Intense BMX has been the leader in BMX. We would like to thank all of our loyal fans who voted for us and helped us win back to back Bike of the year titles. The ABA Season came to a close this past weekend in Tulsa, OK. The ABA prepared what may have been the best Grand National Track ever built, with just as much excitement in the arena. The 500 moto race was exciting and action packed with some of the best AA Pro racing in years, with Randy Stumpfhauser being the most dominant Pro of the weekend. Cristian Becerine was also flying all weekend and had great results. Here is how each of the Double A Marketing riders finished up:

Randy Stumpfhauser has been flying for the past few races, taking home wins. With an outside shot at the ABA #1 Pro title, Randy had his full focus on winning the ABA Grands.

Dayton, Ohio - DK Bicycles is proud to welcome AA Pro racer Aaron Johnson to the DK Pro team. Aaron will make his DK debut this weekend at the 2006 ABA Grand Nationals in Tulsa, OK. Johnson hails from Murrieta, California and has been racing for 17 years. Aaron rode really well at the UCI Super-X race in San Jose and this years DC Sprint Trails event. Not only is he fast, his dirt jumping skills are quite good also. Aaron will attend several UCI, ABA and NBL events in 2007. 

Gilbert, Arizona—November, 2006— The ABA (American Bicycle Association) announced that it has reached an agreement with Tim Lillethorup/Lillethorup Productions, Inc to form a new BMX (Bicycle Motocross) website that will debut in 2007. The content-rich, interactive website will be ABABMX.tv and in 2007 will broadcast all 27 ABA National events, with 14 events live! The new partnership will also create even more excitement with interactive features, tips from top Professional riders, new products and more.

“The ABA experimented in 2006 by offering several national events as live simulcast on our website, it provided our members with an exciting way to view the races they could not attend. We have taken many bold steps recently to bring BMX to the forefront of action sports. Gilbert, Arizona—November, 2006— The ABA (American Bicycle Association) will hold the 29th annual Grandnationals of BMX (Bicycle Motocross) November 23-26, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The annual finale to the 27 race national event series is always important for the racers and exciting for family and spectators. This is “the” event where the national titles are determined and racing careers are made. The Grandnationals is also highlighted by other highly anticipated special events and activities.

The ABA Grandnationals attracts 3000 racers and spectators from around the world to Tulsa each year. Tulsa has become home to this event because of the central location and the huge open-span building that allows for the massive indoor dirt track to be constructed. Racers and spectators wait each year for the annual Hall of Fame awards, that honor the people who have made notable contributions to BMX. The racing heroes, company founders and innovators are honored at a banquet the day before Thanksgiving. The Golden Crank Awards are also held during this BMX spectacular. This award is given to a Rookie Pro, Pro, Team and Bicycle brand chosen by the people.

Today was a day filled with MX. First of all the weather has been getting shitty and I spent more time digging at the trails on Saturday than I got to ride. The rain last night didn't help either so off to the Stoppelcross in Boekel I went. Paul, Pieter Does, Harm van Brussel, Jurgen Meyer were out there representing BMX in the mud. After one heat it was time for home to watch the Red Bull Knock Out beach race live and now I'm watching the FMX show at the Bercy  SX while I type this. Last night one of the riders pulled a barspin flip on a modified bike. Go do your Youtube search for that one. 

The NBL 2007 points season kicked off this past weekend at the beautiful NBL Nellis BMX track. Nellis is a fan favorite and between the excellent track and the perfect weather, the first NBL Elite Pro and UCI event for the 2007 NBL National season was a huge success with a large moto count, new sponsors for the NBL series, and a huge international Pro turnout.
