Gilbert, Arizona—November, 2006— The ABA (American Bicycle Association) will hold the 29th annual Grandnationals of BMX (Bicycle Motocross) November 23-26, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The annual finale to the 27 race national event series is always important for the racers and exciting for family and spectators. This is “the” event where the national titles are determined and racing careers are made. The Grandnationals is also highlighted by other highly anticipated special events and activities.
The ABA Grandnationals attracts 3000 racers and spectators from around the world to Tulsa each year. Tulsa has become home to this event because of the central location and the huge open-span building that allows for the massive indoor dirt track to be constructed. Racers and spectators wait each year for the annual Hall of Fame awards, that honor the people who have made notable contributions to BMX. The racing heroes, company founders and innovators are honored at a banquet the day before Thanksgiving. The Golden Crank Awards are also held during this BMX spectacular. This award is given to a Rookie Pro, Pro, Team and Bicycle brand chosen by the people.
