Legends never die. When DMC was announced to do his sole Dutch concert in Hellmond, there was no excuse not to go. Last Sunday the King of Rock made it over to Lakei and he brought DJ Charlie Chan. It had been over 20 years since we visited Run DMC in Amsterdam with the Divoze posse and most of the crew showed up for this one. With
Jam Master Jam dead and
RUN not needing to tour, it was up to DMC to hit the road and represent.

It must feel weird to play for a few hundred people when you're used to play for thousands.
DMC had all the time in the world to look for the groupies but they did not line up in hundreds last Sunday. Not sure if he got lucky in the end but I doubt it, the man's getting old. No disrespect but a fact of life.
All of a sudden he thinks he can sing where he should have stuck to hardcore rapping. Still good to hear the old hits though.
DJ Charlie Chan was rocking. Great DJ, no mistakes.
I wasn't sure what to think of the night. It was cool to see a legend, but it was sad to see them have to play for a handful of people in fucking Helmond. Walk this way!? Maybe I take another route. Peace!
