It wasn't a holiday for Colin MacKay though, the Aussie ripped it up at the Haro sponsored X-air contest in new Zealand first (second in street and third in dirt) and then continued his strong riding in Australia at the Monster BMX Games where he got a third place in dirt in a full field of ripping Australian pros. Colin also finished third in the Pro miniramp class and to top it off he won the street comp. Fuel TV awarded Colin as the winner of the Overall Spirit of the BMX Games.
-Jason Richardson went to Puerto Rico to promote the HARO brand at the RM59 Challenge. He got a fourth on Saturday in the Elite Men class.
-Although he isn't sure yet which events he's going to be at in 2006, Haro Europe's Senad Grosic sent in the following list:
+ 10-15 shows in Austria and a few shows abroad.
+ Berlin Roadstar, Germany
+ Eastpak show in Hamburg, Germany
+ Urban Games, UK
+ Nass, UK
+ FISE, France
+ Rebel Jam, Germany
and other events that are fun.
Senad's back is in shape again (thanks to Red Bull's private training center) and he recently pulled his first 360 double-whip over a box jump.
-We ran into former HARO MTB Mechanic Ed Chavez at the San Diego SX. Ed does not have to wrench these days. He drives factory Suzuki's Ivan Tedesco's coach from race to race and makes sure it's shiny.
-Derek Betcher is surprising some by battling with the best of them in the AA Pro class. Derek made three out of four mains at the NBL Boulder National in Nevada.

-Things are on the up regarding HARO promotions in Spain and France. Next to placing HARO advertisements in several magazines, organizing Bike Shows and sponsoring events, Velo2000 are working on having HARO teams in France and Spain.
- HARO supported vert rider Sander Nieuwenhuis (Netherlands) is considering shoulder surgery as his shoulder keeps on popping out. Who said those freestyle riders had it easy?

-We also want to wish Jason Richardson a speedy recovery. The HARO BMX AA pro crashed during the ABA Sooner National race in Guthrie and broke his femur. It's the biggest bone of your body so you can understand that he will be out for a while. Temporary replacement for Jason on the HARO Pro BMX team is Greg Romero.
-Benjamin Shenker from Hungary is in Woodward having fun. He calls it "heaven" so two weeks of non-stop heaven should get the Haro Europe rider in shape for 2006.
-We're sponsoring two MX riders who are using their HARO bikes to keep in shape and have some fun. Both are Factory Honda riders. Andrew Short is leading the West coast Lites series and part time SX rider Jeremy McGrath has put in some very decent results (top 5-s) in the beginning of the season. McGrath still gets a lot of press and is currently sitting in 5th in TWMX's Exposure meter that includes both editorial and advertisement coverage. Andrew Short is sitting in 7th position on the exposure meter so both of them help getting HARO out there.
-Did you know that JD Swanguen's dad helped Bob Haro make his first number plates down in San Diego in the '70-s? John Swanguen lived a couple of blocks from Bob Haro and was his riding buddy at the time when freestyle BMX did not really exist. John himself invented the rock walk and still has his first HARO number plate. Now his son is riding for HARO Bikes and John is ripping it up in his class at the local downhill races. It's a small world.
