Bikes Over Baghdad began in 2009 by sending a group of top riders to seven military bases in Iraq and Kuwait to perform, meet U.S. soldiers and give away tons of gear. The group of riders, along with sponsors ARMA, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, DK Bikes, Fox Racing and GoPro Cameras, show their support by spending time on the military bases, meeting the troops, and giving away promo goods to over 50,000 troops. The athletes and military troops alike stayed fueled and energized with ARMA Energy SNX.
ARMA Pro BMXer Chad Kagy has been involved in Bikes Over Baghdad since its inception and tries to give back to the troops stating, “Instead of just showing up, performing, and disappearing, we actually get some one-on-one time with the soldiers. For all the men and women that don’t get to go home for Christmas and spend time with their families, we go over there and take their minds off of things a little bit. Maybe give some of the guys a bike or a skateboard that they can give to their kid for Christmas.”
