HB Grammy Bikes auctioned off to help Mike Vincent

The Grammy's? I don't know anything about it. It's got something to do with bands winning awards, maybe similar to winning a Nora Cup or something but then Hollywood style and with more money involved. But this year four BMX riders rode some cricles around on stage when a band played. The 4 riders being the Condor, Rooftop, the Lord and Simon Tabron (who never really got a sticking nickname did he? Dick Slater perhaps?). Anyway, it was an experience for the four of them as you can imagine.

They rebelled during the show in true BMX fashion because once the camera's are on, there's no turning back at the grammy's. Well, long story short, the bikes that were ridden at the Grammy Awards (I hope they mean more to you then they mean to me) are being auctioned off in favour of Mike Vincent's recovery fund. Another good cause in BMX.

Hoffman Bikes donated 4 bikes (two 2011 Condor ECs and two 2010 Scarab ELs) to be used during Arcade Fire's performance at the 53rd GRAMMY Awards (2011). Riders for the performance are Mat Hoffman, Mike "Rooftop" Escamilla, Simon Tabron and Dave Voelker.

All proceeds from the bikes will benefit The Michael J. Vincent Fund, a fund created to benefit friend, colleague and fellow BMX rider Mike Vincent, who sustained devastating injuries after hit by a car while riding his bike to work in January 2008.

This bike is for one of the Condor EC models. Three more auctions to follow. Also, more photos and details to follow on Feb. 14.
