The World’s largest BMX flatland competition,
Braun Flatground, is proud to announce dates for the fifth anniversary event.
Since 2001, Soul Cycle have organised and developed the Braun Flatground festival in their home city of Amsterdam.
This year the competition returns to the atmospheric Gashouder venue, a renovated industrial building near the centre of the city.
From 22nd to 25th September 2005, the Worlds’ best BMX flatland riders will battle in four categories: Women, Under 18, Amateur and Pro. For 2005, Braun Flatground will add a full break dance program with 1-on-1 battles. Total prize purse will be 25.000 EUR (50% flatland / 50% break dance)
The Gashouder arena will stage all flatland and break dance battles. The main battle area will be complimented by a separate 1000m2 practice area, open each day. Music always played a key role at Braun Flatground and 2005 will be no exception. The coincidental fifth anniversary of the Zuiveringshal (next to the Gashouder) means visitors can expect to see internationally renowned hip-hop acts performing live. All parties starting Thursday will happen in the just renovated Zuiveringshal.
2005 marks the third consecutive year Braun Shavers will be title sponsor of the event.
