BMX in Rotterdam
The event is organized to show that BMX is alive in Rotterdam. Initiator Jonathan Jansen: “The group Freestyle Bmx-ers on Westblaak is growing rapidly, for these people I want to organize an event.”
Michiel Verberg of Yi Control would like to show Rotterdam how spectacular BMX is and how high the level of the Dutch riders is.

On the initiative of "local" BMXer Jonathan Jansen and sport and recreation Rotterdam, Yi Control organizes a Freestyle BMX contest on Westblaak. “Best of Blaak” takes place on Sunday July 16 and starts at 13.00 hour on the skate course Westblaak in Rottterdam. The event has competitions in the categories: street, mini and highest air (expert and pro). Entry for both the participants and public is free. 
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
