to do their best – on their own terms. There has never been a better opportunity to do a project like this because Bmx has never been better.” – Justin Kosman, 2011 The Hunt Producer
Lines, lines, lines. This kid’s got lines. When the dust settled, it was Chad Kerley’s street riding that rose to the top. With a two-part video section over seven-minutes long produced by Christian Rigal, it is an honor to release Chad’s first-ever DVD video part through The Hunt project. He’ll be cashing a check for $5000 because of it.
“The video was awesome… I was surprised on how much the other riders went in on their video parts. I wasn’t sure how other people were filming for it – I just did my thing and did all the things I wanted to do, but watching the video made me realize that everyone did the same thing that I did.” – Chad Kerley, 2011 The Hunt Winner
Ask any of the judges, and they’ll tell you this was not an easy choice. But a top-ten order had to be decided and Will Stroud had the final say.

The Pro-Tec Progression Impression
Best Trick Bonus was split between Baldock and Churchill with two never-been-done tricks. Kyle Baldock pulled a 360-downside-tailwhip to superman seat-grab and Stevie Churchill spun a 360 to feeble to 180 down a seven-stair ledge. Kyle and Stevie both get $500 from Pro-Tec for going above and beyond.
The Monster Best Line Bonus was a much easier award to figure out. Since Chad Kerley’s video part was full of insane lines head judge Will Stroud knew Chad deserved the $1000 Bonus, but couldn’t name just one best line. Once you see the video, you’ll understand.
Going Global. The World Premiere video went off without a hitch and the drinks were flowing at the Hard Rock Hotel. Next week there will be seven premieres stretching across Canada, with two scheduled premieres in England and one on Australia. We are also having a Socal premiere at Ashley’s in Long Beach on Thursday October 20th before Tony Neyer heads off to Mexico City. We wanted to make sure he saw the video before he was kidnapped. Be there at 8pm if you over 21 and want to drink some PBR.
The Ring. We had the opportunity to work with one of the most prestigious jewelry brands in the game to produce a custom ring for The Hunt winner. Thanks to Incus, we have a one-of-a-kind ring that won’t be just another cup on the mantle. Check our story on Defgrip about how crazy it is to make a ring like that.
The DVD. The limited edition DVD will be available through Dan’s Comp by the end of October and if you’re a Canadian bike shop Ten Pack distro will be slinging those discs to Dillon Lloyd fans all across the country.
