The energy drink producer Monster Energy will be presenting sponsor of the BMX Worlds 2012, which will take place July 13-15 at the Cologne Jugendpark. Monster Energy has long been involved with sports – whether skateboarding, snowboarding or BMX, Monster Energy supports events worldwide, in addition to the BMX Worlds. Monster Energy is not only appearing at the World Championship competitions in Cologne as a provider of energy drinks to more than 400 pros and amateurs and the countless fans in attendance.
The new presenter of the BMX Worlds 2012 is also sending its own BMC team with big-name athletes to the start. In addition to American Pat Casey and Brazilian Leandro Moreira, Czech halfpipe rider Jan Valenta and flatland-wonder Adam Kun of Hungary will be starting in Cologne.
The event organizers are also working with additional sponsors to presenter Monster Energy. The BMX Worlds 2012 are also supported by Snipes, British Knights, Sinalco, Veltins, JanSport, Haro Bikes, Oakley, Felt Bikes and Ikonix.
From July 13 to 15, 2012, Cologne will be the pilgrimage site for the international BMX scene. The Cologne Jugendpark will be hosting the most important and largest BMX contest in the world. At the only BMX festival of its kind in the world, more than 400 pros and amateurs will fight for the hotly-desired BMX World trophies in various disciplines.

Around 400 pros and amateurs from around the world will come to the Jugendpark on the Zoo Bridge in Köln-Mühlhem in mid-July to show what they can do in the disciplines of Dirt, Park, Street, Flatland and Vert. "Some of the big names in the international BMX scene have already agreed to start,“ said the 43-year-od Stephan Pranti. The most successful German BMX rider is in constant negotiation with the top world stars. "Cologne is firmly established in the BMX scene. The participants enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and the perfect service. Plus, our parties are already legendary!“
Cologne has a long BMX tradition. BMX contests have been carried out in the Cologne Jugendpark for 28 years now, and since their first appearance in 1994, the BMX Worlds have often been a guest in the Cologne BMX circus. The event is one of the biggest and most important BMX contests in the world. In 2012 the organizers could once again bring the official IBMXFF Freestyle World Championships to the city of Cologne.
The Weekend Ticket for Friday, Satuday, and Sunday is available for 25 Euro in advance sales. The entry for Friday alone is eight Euro. Saturday and Sunday day-only tickets are ten Euro each. Children up to 100 cm tall are allowed in free.
