Monster Energy congratulates Dakota Roche on his Bronze medal in BMX Street today at X Games Los Angeles 2012. The rider from Huntington Beach, CA manhandled the course as he earned his second-straight bronze in the event that took place on the event deck at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles.
A really powerful rider,
Roche seemed to find all the unique lines no one else could as he progressed through his heat and eventually to the podium.
He was able to launch multiple huge 270 tabletops over the hip, plus had a big 360 over the rail on the big stair set that really made him stand out. He was also able to do a wallride from the flats over the waist-high drinking fountain, a trick that requires tons of power and pop. Other highlights included a feeble to big transfer, an extremely difficult 450 over the hip, and a 540 wallride.
His score of 69 (36+33) in the final was enough for 3rd place as he continues to define the face of street riding.
