Final qualifiers for the $25,000 LXVI BMX Invitational presented by Vans were set today at the ECSC Beach Festival in Virginia Beach. Dominated by young riders Pat Casey, 18, and Daniel Sandoval, 18, the qualifying round concluded with exceptional no-handed tail whips, truck drivers and an incredible bar spin 180 from third place rider Gary Young. The finals for this triple box jump contest begin Saturday, August 25th at noon at the ECSC Beach Festival in Virginia Beach, VA.
Our thoughts are with
Brett Banasiewicz for a full and quick recovery. Banasiewicz was injured on Thursday during practice and was tended to by first responders immediately and transported to an area hospital for treatment. We have received encouraging news from his family and direct well wishers to the Banasiewicz family skatepark’s (The Kitchen, South Bend, IN) Facebook page for
updates.
