Lavar
Based in Los Angeles, Lavar is a clothing company that originated from BMX and street culture. It was founded by professional BMX rider Mike Ardelean and designer/artist Jurjen Semeijn in late 2004. Since then Lavar has been producing seasonal collections inspired by life in Los Angeles. Through its association with BMX, Lavar sponsors several athletes among which are Eddie Cleveland, Ricky Feather, Manuel Cantero and Jim Bauer. Currently Lavar is distributed in several countries outside the USA, including Canada, United Kingdom, Germany and Australia.
Jim Bauer
Besides being a sponsored BMX rider and art director for BMX parts company Odyssey, Jim Bauer is also a great artist who is best known for his wild use of colors and diagonal striped style. His achievements include the art for the ESPN X-games skate street course in 2006, the cover of RideBMX and various expositions around the Los Angeles area. His sponsors include Metal Bikes, Duffs shoes, Odyssey parts and Lavar clothing.
