The Braun cruZer Tour will kick off for a third year at the Nokia FISE event on May 16th in Montpellier. A unique concept, the Braun cruZer Tour brings three independent BMX competitions together with a special contest at each venue on the Braun Spine. Riders compete for a prize of € 5.000 at each contest and pick up points, which go towards the overall Braun cruZer Tour standings. At the end of the three events, which are the Nokia FISE, the NASS in Bath (Somerset), England in July and the Suzuki BMXMasters in Cologne, Germany also in July, the rider with the most points will be crowned Braun cruZer Tour Champion.
Although yet names have to be confirmed, organisers say the overall prize as well as uniqueness of the contest will attract some of the biggest names in BMX to ride the Braun Spine. Riders rumoured to be taking part include
Ryan Nyquist, Dave Osato, Dave Mirra and winner of the two previous cruZer Tours,
Mark Webb.
