ESPN’s X Games Announces Sponsors for X Games Austin 2014 ESPN announced today the roster of sponsors for at the inaugural X Games Austin, taking place June 6-8 at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas with live coverage on ESPN and ABC. America’s Navy, Ford, GoPro and Monster Energy return as top -tier sponsors for this year’s event. Additional exclusive sponsors include Dos Equis, Dr Pepper and Harley-Davidson.
X Games Austin 2014 will showcase more than 200 athletes competing for medals and prize money in the sports of Skateboard, BMX, Rally, Moto X and for the first time, the discipline of Stadium SUPER Trucks.
Elements presented as part of sponsor packages will feature on-site activations as well as rights to official marks and logos. Additionally, some sponsors receive a media presence during the event telecasts, prominent positions across digital and social X Games platforms along with VIP hospitality experiences on site.
Ford, the official automotive sponsor of the event, will provide guests with ride and drive experiences. Monster Energy, the official energy drink sponsor of X Games Austin, will be featuring athlete autograph signings, brand ambassadors and an outdoor lounge for fans at the sponsor village. Additionally, America’s Navy will challenge fans to a pull-up contest as well as host athlete signings while GoPro, the official camera sponsor, will host daily giveaways and athlete signings.
Brands supporting the X Games for the first time are: Bing, Cricket Wireless, Dos Equis, Dr Pepper, DuPont™ Kevlar®, Firemans #4, Fram, Gildan, GSD&M, Lance Snacks, OneDrive, Nokia and Torchy’s Tacos. Returning sponsors include GEICO, Harley-Davidson, Loctite, Oakley and Skype.
Fans will also have the opportunity to browse product displays on-site provided by Austin American-Statesman, City of Buda, Disney Fantasia, NINJA, GAEMS, GoPuck, Gunk, Junk, Lego, Norton, Oberto, Paper Toy Clothing, Paramount, RetailMeNot, Texas Pete, The Neon South and Turtle Beach.
ESPN and ABC will televise a combined 20 live hours of X Games Austin competition, which will also be accessible via WatchESPN and WatchABC to viewers who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
