Monster Energy congratulates not one, but two of their international riders, Kyle Baldock and Ben Wallace, for dominating the BMX Dirt event at X Games Austin 2014. Both
Baldock and
Wallace were absolute standouts, but it was Baldock’s last run that would be untouchable and seal the deal for gold: an insane flip tailwhip-to-barspin over the first set, an opposite whip in the center, followed by a triple whip, and ending with his signature boned-out front flip.
The resurrection of the dirt event in the states was highly anticipated, and the course did not disappoint, as it was fast, unforgiving, and gnarly. Some heavy falls went down, including Monster’s own
Pat Casey, who qualified first going into finals, but Baldock and Wallace stayed consistent (and safe), putting a whole lot of Monster green on the podium.
While psyched to back up his X Games gold in Brazil last year, Kyle can’t relax just yet as he rolls straight into the park event, where he’s one of the favorites to come out shining gold tomorrow afternoon.
