Groups of young BMXers from Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Leende have joined forces in creating three permanent dirt spots. The BMXers collected signatures of people supporting their project and approached their local governments, which eventually granted the necessary permits. The international Red Bull Backyard Digger team will come to The Netherlands to support the BMXers with machines and know-how in building the spots of their dreams.

The dirts will be officially opened during opening jams on the 30th of September (Leende), the 7th of October (Rotterdam) and the 14th of October (Amsterdam).
"The fact that the dirts are going to be built in The Netherlands, is a great achievement for the BMX scene. It is incredibly difficult to build a good spot in The Netherlands," says BMXer
Jurrien Brouwer, who has been riding for ten years. He continues:
"The Netherlands are a very cultivated country. Each piece of land has a defined destination, especially in the city. We have often tried to make something ourselves, but when we were halfway after two weeks, there would always be a police man, or someone else, who told us that what we were doing was not allowed. "
The dirts will be places where BMXers of all levels can learn a lot. There are lines for professionals, with ramps up to two meters high, but also smaller lines that are suitable for children from the age of eight. BMXer
Mark Vos:
"This will be a spot where the Dutch BMX scene can quickly develop itself further. We hope that these dirts will help more and more dutch BMXers to get to the top."
