A thrilling mix of competitions, qualifiers, demonstrations and music will create StreetFest’s biggest sports area to date. Elements include the Mini-Ramp Pro-Invitational Contest for skateboard and inline skate, along with the nail-biting finals of the street based skateboarding competition, Game of S.K.A.T.E. The soundtrack to the sports area comes courtesy of the Red Bull Stage.
Highlights of the sports area include the breathtaking Red Bull half pipe, providing more than your fair share of high-octane tricks and stunts from some of the most skilled extreme sports athletes in the country. Another offering is the incredible BMX star, Kye Forte. He’ll be returning with his equally talented BMX jump-box demo team as they master the art of aerial aerobics across ramps, pipes and other outrageous obstacles. There will be grinding, grabbing and gravity defying tricks all day before the final of the regional Game of S.K.A.T.E – a game fit for only the most skilled skaters. Other skaters making an appearance will include Leon Humphries, Chris Oliver and Dennis Lynn.
From two wheels to one, StreetFest are excited to mix it up with an incredible performance from the UK’s only extreme unicycling display team. Team Voodoo Unicycles are rebels in their field – moving away from the conventional connotations of unicycles. From the London Olympics to the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix, they’ve been booked by some of the biggest companies in the world, encouraging everyone to think outside of the box when it comes to pushing the boundaries of street sports. This four-strong team from around the UK will perform feats of unrivalled balance and electrifying tricks.
