Stephen had arranged for his sponsors to provide30 goody bags for these patients and to say the least, it was a pretty humbling experience.
It was so nice for Stephen to be able to give his bit as against receiving and it did him the world of good to do it. Melissa has been away for 8 days to home territory in California on a mission to find a new home for them to live in when Stephen leaves the Craig Hospital in Denver. She is now back with Stephen in Denver to enjoy their wedding anniversary together and has brought some good news for us all at last it seems a suitable house has been found: more later when all is confirmed.
While Melissa has been away, Stephen has been a good boy---he has downsized his steel throat trach, reduced his oxygen intake, had an overnighter without any oxygen at all and come through it all with good results----good enough to have his trach removed this week, hopefully before I leave Denver this Thursday ---fingers crossed again. Last Friday night we managed to get some VIP passes for the Cage Fighting live in the Denver Coliseum, his cage fighting buddy from California, Babbalou, was guest of honour for the night so the pair of them chilled together. We left the hospital at 615 and arrived back just after midnight, six hours later, tired out but thrilled at this first leisure outing. Many thanks to the 2 male nurses Guy and Matt to our volunteer driver Don and the Rocky Mountain Bad Boys for making this happen.
Many thanks to everybody for your continued support, this is a genuine marathon which we are all going to get on with, come rain or shine we are in it to the hilt and thanks to the NBC 15 minute footage I would think you all will have a better understanding of Stephens medical, physical and mental condition.
Once again we thank you all; it truly is appreciated by all of the Murray Family
