Time flies, D-10 before the FISE Word Montpellier 2016!

The FISE World Montpellier will take place as usual on the Lez river Banks from May 4th to May 8th. Thrills guaranteed during the biggest extreme sports event in the world with more than ½ million visitors. 1800 athletes, pro and amateurs, from 55 different nationalities will be challenging the gravity laws during 5 days of festival. 6 disciplines will be feature: BMX (Flat, freestyle and spine ramp), Mountain Bike Slopestyle, Skateboard, Wakeboard, Roller and Freestyle Scooter.

The festival spirit and the culture of action sports are as usually the roots of FISE events with many exhibitor villages, demonstrations and initiations for everybody.

Program highlight
The FISE World Montpellier starts with the Wakesurf World Cup stop, during the Opening at Le Grau du Roi-Port Camargue the April 30th and May 1st ! But there is more, for the first time, the FISE World Series will organize the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup 2016. Moreover, the MTB contest is a gold stop of the FMB World Tour. No need to say that it will be a challenging double stake for the riders!

Entertainment for everyone
In addition of the exhibitors’ village and the DJs, lots of activities will be organized during the FISE:

- “Asia Discovery “workshops, for the 35th birthday of Chengdu-Montpellier town-twinning: Chinese shows, cultural and cooking stands.

- Street-art (exposition and live painting) with the attendance of famous artist as Ceet, Honk, Clash, Tacos, Vince…

- Initiations and Stand Up Paddle Polo tournament (water polo and paddle board).

- Stand Up Paddle Yoga initiations, a trendy discipline which enhance wellness feeling.

- Slackline initiations (balance sport consisting to walk on an elastic rope linked between 2 ancres) and jump line demonstrations.

- A Kayak polo activity consisting in ridding a kayak while scoring a goal with a ball in order to win a gift.

Logan Martin, FISE World Series Winner 2015
Logan Martin is the new wonder of world BMX Freestyle. Four years ago, France hosted the young Australian for the first time at a FISE event in Paris. Since then, he has won most of the competitions he has entered. Logan is very technical, committed, and rides fast and wide, making him one of the best Park riders in the world. He proved this in 2015 by winning the FWS tour.

Matthias Dandois, the Champion
26-year-old Frenchman Matthias is now one of the international characters of BMX Flat. Three-time world champion (2008, 2009, 2011), he has won over 20 first places at different events over the last 5 years. His vision of life can be summed up in one sentence: live life to the full and in good health, die old and happy. Matthias has a long career ahead of him, with many more important victories to come.
