It said something about a ten year anniversary + karaoke so the decision was made to step inside. When looking on the menu we quickly checked what day it was. Every night they had drink specials and tonight it was A Le Coq beer for 10 Krooni. In Euro's that's about € 0.63. For a few hours we didn't care that nobody else had walked in as we were enjoying the Coq's.
The Karaoke participants were pretty lame and we already thought the 1000 Krooni first price would be hours. The later it got, the better we felt. We decided that if we would win, we would turn the 1000 Krooni into an extra 100 beers. Between the three of us that would be enough to get us through the night (and that includes the Coach). As usual these things are only won by locals and we walked out the door disappointed that our "Born to be Wild" performance had not won.
Club Hollywood was just around the corner. We paid our way in, dropped the jackets and ran into our BMX family really quick. Wessel, Beringer, Alcantara, Javi, Dhers, Sexton, Reynolds, Freimuth, Koenig, Hickerson, Catfish, the usual bunch but it was good to catch up after a few months off. A local "K-1" fighter wanted to be our friend, Catfish had brought some blond entertainment and before we knew it it was 6am. Not bad for a Thursday night. The good part at the Simpel Session is that the schedule allows this kind of partying. Practice did not start before 6pm the next day. Good night.
