R.I.. Clearing a distance of 84 feet and four inches, Robinson becomes the first person to set this record.
“I’m a 44 year-old retired athlete and I just set a World Record!,” said Robinson. “The most rewarding part was I did this whole thing on my own. I can’t thank my friends, family and sponsors enough. Who knows what I’ll think of next.”
One of the best known BMX riders of all time, Kevin Robinson has earned 10 total X Games medals, standing proudly on the X Games podium every year between 2003 and 2009. Famous for the highest air ever achieved on a quarterpipe (27 feet), Robinson joined the X Games telecast team as a BMX analyst for X Games Los Angeles 2012. When Robinson is not riding, he is working with the K-Rob Foundation that he started in his hometown of East Providence which ensures children have access to athletic activities. Robinson lives in Barrington, R.I., with his wife Robin and kids Shaye, Riley and Kevin Jr.
