Not only did Scott win the event but he posted the track record with a lap time of 36.265 beating Mike Day’s record of 36.6.
Scott’s parents Bruce and Janet Erwood made the trip down to watch their son earn a trip to the Olympics and once the event was over, Bruce could not stop shaking as it then dawned on him that his son would officially compete in the Olympics. Greg and Richel Swingrover from Crupi were also there to show their support.
Best of luck to Scott this August as he competes in the first ever BMX racing event in the Olympics.
