-Will Stroud has become a proud dad:
"Cristi and I have some exciting news we'd like to announce... Our son, Noah Paul Stroud was born today, August 14, at 11:47am EST! He is 7 lbs. 15 ounces and 20 inches long. Cristi and I are excited to finally be parents!" Congrats to the Stroud family. Keep that camera running!
-Over in Canada Jay Miron is organizing his first BMX race. Things do not always go as planned but Jay has conquered more problems in his life than a bit of rain and licences. Here's the latest: "Weather has been horrible for us. Kingston has received more rain so far this year than any other year since they’ve been recording weather, and it’s only the middle of August. The forecast looks better now though. So we’re confident that everything’s going to be great. Anyway that’s my excuse for not having photos online. Tom Ritz had to leave for China and left the track three quarters done. As soon as he gets back to North America he’s going to be heading to Kingston to finish up.
We were hoping to run this race without the racers having to buy a UCI license but it looks like that’s not going to happen. This is very important. You can’t buy a license in Canada at the race. If you’re American you will have to buy a UCI license from USA Cycling. I know this sucks for some of you but I guess that’s a concession we’ll have to make for all the benefits of bmx going to the Olympics."
The race which will take place in Kingston, Canada to finish off a week of BMX which starts on 30 August 2008.
-Eric Hough asked us if we could post the following JAM/BBQ flyer on the site. Sure can.
-When Zack McTee put up his Freestylin' book on eBay we mailed him that he is crazy and should keep the book for himself. After we got the following answer it does not look like he is going to change his mind so for those looking for a copy, start searching: "I would definitely keep it, cause I dig it, but I know there are people out there that have more sentimental attachment than I do. I ride a ten speed around and grew up skateboarding so I don’t really have any reason to keep the book around....especially when there are dudes that have been in the scene forever that couldn’t get the book because Nike isn’t distributing it (can’t figure out why). Cheers! -zack."

-Tomorrow we're going to Germany to experience a Red Bull X-Fighters event. Ultimate cage fighting at its best and we're bringing some guys from OJA too to battle it out. Not really, it's an FMX event that Andy Zeiss will MC at while we're up there enjoying the party. On Sunday a jam will be held at the DirtE19 trails in Belgium. If we make it to that depends on how good that party in Wuppertal was. Will it whoop our ass?
