Rob Bradford, founder of The Ranch, shares his vision, “The Ranch connects kids and sports with the lifestyle of the community. We’re here to help the next generation become better and have fun creating new paths.”
The Ranch is undergoing accreditation from the American Camp Association® (ACA) during this inaugural summer. Camp director Marcia Kimler, also a published author and national speaker, has 20 years of camp leadership experience including operating Woodward camps. She is an ACA Visitor for other camps in the region and brings a passion for sustainability and diversity to The Ranch.
Ryan Clements, co-founder of The Boardr, says, “Turning a dream into a reality during these times is not an easy feat. Rob Bradford essentially accomplished the impossible by building The Ranch. He had a vision and brought it to life via good old hard work and tenacity. The summer camp environment of The Ranch will not only create positive and educational experiences for young skateboarders and BMXers, but also memories that will last a lifetime.”
Founder of Live Wire Construction and former BMX pro, Ron Kimler, is an integral part of bringing the mission of The Ranch Camp to life through the construction of its barrier-breaking facilities. As a rider-owned business, The Ranch Camp is focused on accessibility for all to enjoy these sports.
Steve Crandall is the founder of RADshare, Drop In Coffee, and FBM Bike Company, and has this to say about The Ranch, “To me, the DIY ethos is embedded in the DNA of action sports; that’s why I have always encouraged people to ‘build your own fun’—The Ranch Camp illustrates these ideas and more. It puts a spotlight on some of the most crucial, yet sometimes overlooked, elements of our culture.”
