Four years ago, the BMXers and the skateboarders have got together in order to create different activities in the skatepark. Our crew wanted to preserve the spot but also to do it evolving... We realized 3 concrete workshops, we built little DIY extensions around the snakerun. We organized also some jam sessions, benefit event, etc.
Today, we are going to propose to the City a project about an urbanism of all this sport area. We need some new adapted elements for skate, BMX, MBT, roller in inline and all the other sports... but also a green environment for us and all the neighborhoods.

On the program 27th september on the SNAKERUN (boulevard Gustave Kleyer - B4000 Liège, behind the football field)
11.00am - free skate and BMX initiations
12.00am - jam session with dj's, contest, lotto, hotdogz, etc.
05.00pm - meeting with the politicians, we bring them our folder.
06.00pm - massive downhill to the center of the city on LA ZONE (Quai de l'Ourthe, 42 - B-4020 Liège)
07.00pm - last visit of the exhibition about the snakerun, with board paintings, photography, video, mini-skatepark, etc.
09.00pm - music live acts and deejays with: Spbar, Bursting, The Dividers, Hugo Freegow, Atone, Kool Runna (check out the Myspace)

The Bocal Mostard crew organizes a big party on the 27 September to celebrate the 30th birthday of the snakerun of Liège (Luik/Lüttich in Belgium). It's the oldest skatepark in Belgium and one of the last in this style in Europa. It's still rideable because of a new concrete layer in 2000! That's a real estate for the communities of BMX and skateboard. This event is a good occasion to interpellate the local politicians about the future of the place - 15 000 m² nearly in the abandon. 
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
