We’re excited to announce that this winter we will be hosting the first ever UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup round to be held on the famous Gold Coast, Australia. This will be the 3rd round of the 2022 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup – for the discipline’s Park format - and will continue to offer equal Prize Money for both the Men’s and Women’s contests. The contest will be part of ‘Urban Sport Fest’ a first of its kind festival that will offer more than just fun festival vibes including a UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup, Park format.

Matt Burgess from Evolve Sports, who is the founder of the festival, is thrilled to deliver a series of firsts for the adrenaline pumping sport within the event offering something for everyone.

“This is truly a festival of firsts for the Gold Coast and Australia,” said Burgess.

"We are very excited to bring this year for the first time ever a stop of the UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup to the Gold Coast, Australia. It will be a great first event in this country, and we are already looking forward to bringing more new projects to this destination. The urban sports scene in this country is very strong, and the practice of those sports is included is the everyday life of the population, that is why we are confident in the success that this event will have," said Hervé André Benoit.
