Instead of these trip possibilities I stayed put, started shaping at the new Helm trails and threw a plank on the ground for Philip to get rad on.
Also the FBM Ghetto jam is taking place tomorrow 11 October. Sounds like a crazy one (but that's good in our book). Check the flyer.
Stateside the final stop of the Dew Tour is going on next weekend. There's a little change in the schedule:
-FRIDAY: BMX Park finals are taking place 4-5:30pm
-SATURDAY: BMX Dirt prelims are taking place from 1-2:30pm. BMX Dirt finals are taking place from 4-5:30pm
Now that we're on the contest promotion tip, here's some info on the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds Street Session to be held next month in Berlin. Riders for Street/park that have been invited are Alessandro Barbero, Ben Hennon, Bruno Hoffman, Ryan Guettler, Morgan Wade, Bommel, Sergej Geier, Mark Koenig, Michi Sieren, and Sebastian Baumelt. Vert dawgs that are coming over are: Simon Tabron, Chad Kagy, Kevin Robinson, Jan Valenta, Benni Kopp and more riders to be added. Add The Offspring to the program and it might be worth your while making a trip to Berlin on 29-30 November.
The riders list for the Vibrations Urbaines (Bordeaux, France) is starting to look good too. Some Sunday Bikes riders are expected, Harry Main, Mark Vos and Barry Kohne will make the trip, Maxime Charveron, Patrick Guimez and the French top riders, most likely Dave Rytell is going to make it, Ricardo Laguna is making the trip over and if you want to get there yourself, contact Olivier Morineau at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Park and Dirt. 1-2 November 2008. Pessac, France. FATBMX will be there too.
Timo's miniramp ramp is going to happen on 19 October next. The week after that (October 26th) will be the opening of the Helm Trails in Helmond. Make sure to check the FATBMX event calendar to see what is going on.
If going to contests is not your thing you might want to re-consider if you want to drive a brand new car. Maxime Charveron picked up a brand new Fiat Cross 4X4 for winning the 2008 overall BMX category of the FISE Experience. Next year a FIAT Qubo can be won. It might not be the best looking car ever made but it sure will get you and your friends to the next event.
Maybe Patrick Guimez and Alejandro Caro can enter the contest series in France as their recent piece of junk purchase in Las Vegas was not a success. They bought a car together and were on their way to Paxton's in Riverside when an hour into the trip the "Blue Falcon" overheated. The cops came and pushed them over the hill back to Las Vegas where Jose bought the car straight off them hoping he could fix it for cheap.
Ben Hennon had a nightmare of a trip to Las Vegas. It did not last long for him. Not that he got deported but after a mix up in the hotel address he got jumped by two dudes who put a knife on his throat. After spending the night in a dirty crack hotel Ben wanted to get out of Vegas as soon as he could. Definitely sucked.
Recently, Mike Aitken was in a severe BMX accident. He has severe head trauma. The medical bills will be enormous. Mike is a professional rider and in his line of work he is not eligible for health insurance. They claim he is "too high risk." Mike has contacted numerous insurance offices and has been denied by all. This is where the BMX community can come together and lend a hand to someone in need. You can help.

Good thing there are cameras. Don't remember much of having my photo taken with Cru Jones but Brett Downs sent me the actual photo of it. Nora Cup was great.
The Primo video has been pushed back to March 2009. Instead of making a good video, they want to make a great video. It gives Glenn PP Milligan some time to breath. Check the second promo of the video (over 4 minutes long with great footy) by clicking HERE!
