The 11th «Vibrations Urbaines » (Urban Vibrations) festival will take place in Pessac from 24 October till 2 November 2008. The list of events is totally dedicated to urban youth activities: hip-hop and electro dance battles, skateboard and BMX contests, street jams, concerts, exhibitions and graffiti and street art demonstrations. The festival is multi-disciplinary in order to contribute to the recognition of new cultural, sporting and multi-media expressions.

The event has confirmed, year after year, its coherence and gains in legitimacy thanks to a simple principal: the creation of an event with a spectacular and international dimension. The Vibrations Urbaines festival has become one of the leading national events based on modern urban youth culture.

By the ring-road :

exit 13, follow signs for Pessac Centre : turn right into Avenue de Madran, continue for about 1 km. Go straight on ahead into Avenue du Docteur Nancel Pénard [1.3km]. Turn left into Avenue Roger Cohé [220m]. Then turn right into Avenue Colonel Robert Jacqui, then you will see the sports installations and the Salle Bellegrave sports hall. From Bordeaux : Take the Rue de Pessac up to the ‘’barrière de Pessac’’ junction, go straight accross and continue for about 6 km. You’ll enter the town of Pessac, then turn right (in front of the Leclerc supermarket) into Rue du Docteur Nancel Peynard just after driving under the railway bridge. Carry on up to traffic lights and then turn right into Rue du Pin vert, the Salle Bellegrave will be 200 m ahead of you.
