It’s on! People’s Store BANGERS Freestyle Film Festival is back for another round. 8th edition, baby! This year, international Pro and Amateur entries are welcome. But that’s not the only thing that’s new. Find out all the details below.

RULES:

-DISCIPLINES: You can film whatever and wherever you want. Street, Park, Trails, Flatland, Bowls or even Vert – we want to see it! You want to showcase different disciplines in the same edit? No problem, BMX knows no borders!

-CATEGORIES: Amateur or Pro

-VIDEO LENGTH: 6 minutes max

-DEADLINE: August 14th, 2023 (20:00 hrs CET)

-MUSIC: Choose whatever tune you want, but please make sure, that YouTube is not going to block your video because of music rights infringement.

-DISTRIBUTION: All entries will run exclusively on the freedombmx YouTube channel for four weeks.

-JUDGING: Like every year, we’ll have an international panel of qualified judges, who will score the videos on trick difficulty and originality, production value, overall creativity, and more. So basically a high trick difficulty won’t hurt, but also keep in mind that our judges are looking at how the video is made (camera work, editing, music choice etc.). Making them smile has also helped tremendously in the past.

PRIZES:

Thanks to éclat, Kink BMX, Traffic Distribution, VANS, Wethepeople, and People’s Store we’ve got some cash and a whole lotta goodies to give away.

AMATEUR:
1st Place:Wethepeople Frame & Fork Set
2nd Place: Kink BMX Handlebar, Stem & Fork Set
3rd Place: Kink BMX Tires, Grips & Pedals

PRO:
• 1st Place: 500,- Euro
• 2nd Place: 250,- Euro
• 3rd Place: 125,- Euro
• 4th–10th Place: Goodies
• Best Clip: Goodies

BANGERS FREESTYLE FILM FESTIVAL:

The Top 10 videos will be premiered and awarded on August 26th, 2023 at the infamous MELLOWPARK in Berlin, Germany! There will be a huge screen, free drinks, some surprises and a rowdy crowd, so get ready to PARTY!

Warm-up for the night’s shenanigans with the Last Stand Jam! The Mellowpark is full of park, street, and trails and now with an added street plaza so things are going to get real heated. With onsite drinks, food and guaranteed good times, this is bound to be an amazing day. So come on down for a chilled jam, a couple of cold ones, some tunes and a Best Trick Jam sponsored by Cult Crew, Doomed Brand, éclat, Kink BMX, dem kunstform BMX Shop, and Wethepeople.
