today for some much needed time away from his hospital bed. Mike couldn't have been more excited when she told him they were going. They were escorted by two recreational therapists for the trip.
The IMC staff has been incredible. They have been very caring and encouraging to Mike and the family. We have been told repeatedly that Mike is one of the most determined patients they've seen in years.
Mike continues to work on moving his right arm and leg between his therapy sessions and is slowly regaining strength. He is staying positive and is determined to get well as quickly as he can.

Mike spent the morning reminiscing about his childhood. He is still struggling with his memory, but bit by bit he is getting it back. He has been amazingly determined through this. As Mike said himself, he is "turning frustration into focus". Mike's wife Trista arranged for the two of them to take a trip over to one of his favorite parks
