For our 25-year anniversary, we are returning to our roots with ONE massive course and a single all-terrain discipline for both BMX and skateboarding. According to Mario Kalmre, a co-boss of Simple Session, and responsible for the construction of the park, the specialty of this year is back to park discipline. “This year, we are creating a more park-focused course at Unibet Arena, designed for bigger jumps and a more spacious riding area. With an exceptional number of park riders in this year’s lineup, the show is set to be spectacular—high-flying tricks and acrobatics are back!” describes Mario.
The competition park spans 1,300 m² and has been designed by the legendary Nate Wessel for the 19th time in a row. The course is a dynamic blend of transitions, including hips, spines, and volcanoes, mixed up with rails, banks, and ledges. It’s an all-terrain design that challenges riders to push their limits while providing endless opportunities for creativity.
Who’s rolling in? – The world’s finest, no doubt!
The event will bring together Olympic gold medalists, X Games champions and the biggest names in the sport, guaranteeing an adrenaline-packed spectacle. This year, Simple Session features an exceptionally strong lineup of Japanese riders. Among the most notable athletes from Japan are Tokyo Olympic gold medalist in skateboarding Sakura Yosozumi, BMX world champion Rim Nakamura and rising 15-year-old star Miharu Osawa.
For the first time in Simple Session history, women will compete fully in both skateboarding and BMX categories. The lineup includes Tokyo and Paris Olympic bronze medalist Sky Brown, Paris Olympic silver medalist Perris Benegas, and Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist, Swiss rider Nikita Ducarroz.
