pissed with me around trying to poach his connection from across the street. This FAT Friday would not have happened with me chilling on the beach or riding a camel. So in general, I'm stuck giving you the BMX news that you have come to expect every day here on FATBMX, and I'm fine with that. It feels so good to have a fast internet connection and yes, I'm on the new computer now after the last one died on me. I'm almost set up to where I was and yes, this would not have happened with me checking out the built of the tallest building in the world.
-Lots of news again this week. After Mongoose dropped Steve McCann and Simon Tabron, they picked up JJ Palmere and Mike Rogoish. They are going in a different direction there. Let's see how much TV time these two riders will get them.
-A couple of new magazines came in this week. Issue 7 of Rebelyell, MOTO, Sahtel, 2020, DIRT, RIDE UK so there's no shortage on reading material here. What also arrived here was a killer Viewmaster, one where you insert round discs, aim for some light and snap from photo to photo. NIKE 6.0 made one and each team rider got a disc with photos. It had the Writing On The Wall DVD inside the wooden box too. If money is not an issue you can do cool things.
-Markus Wilke made a video clip for Mirraco of the Extreme Playgrounds in Berlin featuring Ryan Guettler, Alessandro Barbero and Austin Coleman who is on the Mirraco flow program. Austin is turning 25 this weekend and if I understand his e-mail right, he left to go to a Ball in London as a birthday present. If you run into him in London, tell him we said happy B-day. We did a bike check on his new ride this week.
-JT Freestyle sent me a mail with a movie about my special day in Disneyland. So funny. I had to use it for the site and made a FATBMX version of it. If you have not seen it, go here and then send it to someone else.
-It is interesting to read a report about riders coming to The Netherlands to check out the spots. 2 Greek riders made it over, managed to get out of the red light district and the coffee shop and visited plenty of spots with their bikes and sent in a cool story about their trip. Frikandel speciaal!
-Kye Forte picked up the job as UK's DC Shoe team manager, congrats on that Kye.
-Trails is Shouting DVD - Featuring the riding talents of Scott Edgworth, Darin Read, Matt Priest, Robin Fenlon, Arrash Saidi, Rikki Gunner and many more special guests. Filmed by DD Dolan in the Summer of 08 while on the Segment trails trip [with a few extra special sessions thrown in]....available now! Only £5, or FREE with any Segment order.
-Next DIG issue; all trails!?
-On the racing side of things this week, HARO Bikes started a Myspace racing site, we received a report on the "Greatest Race On Earth" aka the ABA Grands, and also Michal Prokop's site is back online. UGP hooked up with the NBL for the 2009 season. Watch the lights! Olympic Gold Medalist Maris Strombergs was awarded the Athlete of the Year award in his home country Latvia. Arthurs Matisons (Latvia) and Aneta Hladikova (Czech Republic) have re-signed with One/Kenda for at least another year. Tommaso Giustacchini from Italy signed with One/Kenda as well.
-The Comic 'n Art section on FATBMX saw quite some activity this week because of the Lightning Bolts numberplate art show and a few contributions.
-Chris Doherty is the winner of the Mirraco Chocolate frame and Nike Shoes in the FATBMX/Writing On The Wall competition we had going on. Chris is stoked to be a winner. We picked his name out of almost 300 entries. Thanks for participating!
-Trey Jones is on The Shadow Conspiracy. Their video is being release as we speak at bike shops all over the place.
-Subrosa went to Colombia and they report about it on their website.
-There is a new web video up with Mat Roe on the Mutiny site.
-Did we mention that Parano Garage has X-mas specials going on at the moment and Paul's Boutique is throwing another BMX-mas party/special soon? With glue wein and stuff.......you know how they roll over there.
-Aitken update
-Murray on MTV
I'm outta here. Peace!

Apparently we can all get along:
