There aren't many firsts these days, but you are witnessing a first right here, right now! BMXAddiction is teaming up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (nbcf.org) to help contribute to a cause that has affected countless numbers of women worldwide. BMXAddiction is donating the worlds first BMX bike built and officially endorsed as the official BMX bike of NBCF. to this project, are all joining in the fight to help eradicate this tragic disease.

Just how tragic is it? The numbers speak for themselves.
* An estimated 182,480 women were diagnosed in 2008.
* Approximately 40,480 deaths occurred in women from breast cancer in 2008.
* One in eight women or 12.03% of all women will get breast cancer in her lifetime.
* Breast cancer risk increases with age and every woman is at risk.
* Seventy-seven percent of women with breast cancer are over 50.
* As of January 1, 2009, in the United States there are approximately 2.4 million women alive who had a history of cancer of the breast.

These numbers are staggering, but even more staggering is the fact that these numbers are based on women just in America alone.

Partnering with NBCF was an easy choice for BMXAddiction to make. NBCF is one of the most highly visible and recognized breast cancer charities in America. Charity Navigator, America's premier independent charity evaluator, has given NBCF it's highest 4-star rating four years in a row. Most importantly, more than 80% of all donations to NBCF go to programs that benefit women through free mammograms for the needy, breast cancer awareness campaigns, and breast cancer research projects.

NBCF's mission is simple. To educate women and provide mammograms for women who otherwise couldn't afford them.
