award, the best spot award, handed out by Michiel Verberg of the social spots website Newbreeders.com. After Jonathan Jansen took the award home to Skateland Rotterd
am, it was about time for the Zeeland posse to take the stage for the first time. A much deserved best scene award went straight to them. The stage was packed and the vibe was explosive. As in champagne explosive, that is. Vladdie de Koning hardly got the chance to get off stage, as he received the award for best video part immediately after it.
After Mark Vos The Movie got started, with classic Mustang engine growls in the intro, the Zeeland domination was already in place. Mark Vos, overwhelmed by the great reception of his movie, decided to pass the LifetimeAdvice to everyone, ‘Pedal Faster!’ was taken very seriously by Maityn Pedroso Napoleao. When he received the award for biggest party animal out of Mark Vos his hands (yes, him again), he uncorked the champagne, poured it over him, only to end up on the dance floor seconds later, shirtless under a pile of people. Classic! The four most important categories in the end were very much in the line of expectance: the flatland award went to Navid Salek
i, the dirt award to Bart Mol, the park award to Nicky van der Veen and street, of course, went to Mark Vos.
The well-mixed crowd in attendance was also noticeable with the members of the band that played at the Moora Cup. Punk rock band The Real Danger exists of 1 guy from Zeeland, 3 from Rotterdam and 1 from Utrecht. The band, who just got back from a successful European tour, managed to change the Winston into 1 big mosh pit like you will only see at the Moora Cup. Sweat, beer and blood were the main ingredients in this one. After this, DJ King Koen, Mischa FSO and DJ Dirk Diggler took over professionally and got the party on the way. The elusive Grote Vinnie, Donnie & Sjakie Show brought the Moora Cup to a fitting end, managing to mix up vodka, Rockstar energy drink, a capella singing, chaos, sweat, Scottish skirts and electro bangers seamlessly.
The Moora Cup organization would like to thank everyone who nominated and voted and everyone who turned the evening into a great success. Also a big thank you to the sponsors Rockstar, Soul Cycle and Vanalles and the Winston nightclub for their patience. See you all at the Moora Cup 2010!
