Building on the success of last year’s inaugural international event, Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports holds its second annual China Invitational, May 8-10 at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium, an Olympic venue from the 2008 Beijing Games. Americans can watch the event for the first time with 1.5 hours of national, NBC television coverage on Sunday, June 14. The 2009 China Invitational features the skate park and vert competitions that took place during the inaugural event along with the addition of a BMX vert contest. The top professional action sports athletes from around the world will again be competing in the China Invitational, including ‘08 skateboard vert China Invitational winner and Dew Cup champion
Pierre-Luc Gagnon and four-time BMX vert Dew Cup champion
Jamie Bestwick. BMX vert finals will take place on Saturday, May 9.
Based on their rankings at the end of the 2008 Dew Tour season, the points leaders in the three disciplines were invited to the

NBC will broadcast the China Invitational on Sunday, June 14, 2009 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.
