Largest Action Sports Camp to Host First-Ever National Championships for BMX Amateurs; Series Organized by USA BMX Freestyle, Largest BMX Organization in North America. In August, USA BMX announced the debut of the USA BMX Freestyle Amateur Series launching a virtual, BMX amateur series. Amateur riders from 12 regions were invited to submit a 45-second video through USA BMX Freestyle Instagram using any indoor or outdoor park of their preference for their run. The deadline to submit videos was October 3. This week the top three riders in all classes from each region will advance to the first-ever National Championships. Woodward West will host the historic event December 11-13 in Tehachapi, Calif. With safety being the number one priority during this time, the intent is to have Woodward host the event in California. USA BMX will continue to monitor and follow the state’s COVID guidelines. Should the event not occur at Woodward West, the second location would be the Woodward located in State College, PA.
