The June programming on World of X Games focuses on complementing contest coverage with unique stories from the world of action sports, including a look back at the Best of BMX, Moto X and Skateboarding competitions at the inaugural X Games Shanghai. Fans of Moto X will follow along with accomplished Moto X rider Jackson Strong as he prepares for X Games Minneapolis. Additionally, viewers will get up close and personal with drivers at the Score San Felipe 250 and The 2019 Mint 400, as well as some of the best surfers in the world on FREESURFER.

ESPN, the leading action sports content provider and creator of the X Games, announced today it has reached a multi-year agreement with REnextop Entertainment, a leading action sports platform in China, to collaborate on X Games China summer and winter events beginning in 2019. For the first time in the event’s nearly 25 year history of international events, this new collaboration will see both summer and winter events staged within the same country in the same year under the X Games banner. The first X Games China event will feature summer sport disciplines and is scheduled for late May in Shanghai.
Today ESPN announced the sponsors for X Games Minneapolis 2018, taking place July 19-22, with live coverage from U.S. Bank Stadium on ESPN and ABC. Nexcare and SoFi join the roster of official sponsors alongside returning brands Fruit of the Loom, Harley-Davidson, LifeProof, Monster Energy, Pacifico, The Real Cost and Toyota. GEICO will once again serve as the official music sponsor. Explore Minnesota also returns as event sponsor with first-time event sponsors Go RVing and Hotels.com. Heading into the second year as a host city for the Road to X Qualifier event, ESPN and the City of Boise have reached an extension agreement to host the Road to X Games: Boise Qualifier through 2019. “The fan response from the city of Boise was overwhelming in 2017,” said Ryan McGuinness, director of event development, X Games. “The event and team at Boise Parks and Recreation provided an incredible fan experience, and we look forward to building on that this year and in 2019.”

The Real Series returns to the World of X Games content lineup on XGames.com and ABC, beginning with the Real Ski video competition dropping on XGames.com February 15, 2017. A forum for the world’s best riders and filmers to create premium video content, the Real Series brings together the worlds of competitive action sports and core video parts. Originally launching with the Real Street competition in the summer of 2010, the Real Series has now grown to include six video competitions each year – adding Snowboard, Ski, BMX, Moto and Wakeboard disciplines into the lineup – due its popularity within the action sports community.
