Hurricane Park's have become renowned for their box jumps and this park is no exception. We also see the return of the legendary "cradle" that we first saw in Chengdu last year. We can't wait to see how the riders incorporate these features into their runs. This park will play host to the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup. There is also the added excitement of the events being the first to count towards qualifying for the Olympics in Tokyo 2020. Current leader American Nick Bruce will be determined to hang on to the top spot, however as he is coming back from his recent shoulder injury this will not be an easy task. He is being closely chased by 2017 champion Daniel Dhers currently in second and his Red Bull team mate Marin Rantes who sits in 3rd.
We are returning to China for the final event of FISE World Series 2018 and we could not be more excited. It's all still to play for with a number of key battles taking place that will decide who will be the overall winners of FWS 2018. Plus, the added excitement of this event being the first UCI BMX Freestyle Park event that will count towards qualifying for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. Chengdu is becoming a permanent feature on the FWS thanks to the city's amazing atmosphere and its resident’s passion for actions sports. This year we have a few new features for spectators to enjoy:
New Location:
FISE is extremely proud to offer the very highest standards to international athletes, media and fans at all our World Series stops. Despite our very best efforts to secure the necessary technical and financial guarantees, the Hurricane Team and CEO Herve Andre-Benoit have been left with no choice but to cancel the 4th stage of this year’s World Series in Budapest. The difficult decision means that the UCI BMX Freestyle Park, UCI BMX Freestyle Flatland and the World Skate Roller Freestyle events that were due to take place in Budapest will no longer go ahead.
We sincerely apologise to everyone involved: athletes, media, providers, partners and anyone else who

From the 9th to 13th of May, spectators can enjoy 5 action packed days of Action Sports at the tours flagship event. After an amazing launch event in Saudi Arabia and a massive first stop in Japan, the FISE family couldn't be more ready for the biggest event of the year. Montpellier's festival is not to be missed bringing together to best action sports athletes in a huge range of sports including BMX, Roller, Scooter , MTB Slopestyle, Wakeboard and Parkour.
This year, the stop is promising to be bigger than ever with a bunch of fresh additions such as the UCI BMX Flatland World Cup event and a brand new second Freestyle Park dedicated to Roller and Scooter Freestyle. The event will continue on from the Hiroshima event and host the following World Cups:
We’re delighted to be landing in Japan just in time to catch the cherry blossom season. Hiroshima looks magical and the historic location of the event makes this FISE stop feel extra special. We kicked off with the Women’s UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup Semi Final. Riders have 2 runs of 60 seconds to wow the judges but it's only the best run that counts. With BMX Freestyle Park being added as a competition in 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, riders are trying to push forward and progress their sport more than ever and some of the riding was insane. The line-up for the women’s event was amazing with riders representing from all over the world, but no one could stop last year’s winner 16-year-old Hannah Roberts taking first place. Be sure to tune in tomorrow at 11.10 to see if anyone can stop Hannah adding another gold medal to her growing collection.
UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup Semi Final Women:
1 - Hannah Roberts - USA - 73.80 PTS
2 - Lara Lessmann - Germany - 70.00 PTS
3 - Nikita Ducarroz - Switzerland - 68.60 PTS
Due to yesterdays weather preventing qualification, today was a massive semi-final for the Men’s UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup with almost 90 riders trying to take one of the 12 places in the final tomorrow. The Freestyle Park for this stop is not a conventional FISE park as it has no box jump
