In 1997 Standard Byke Company released the original TrailBoss, a thick and beefy bike built specifically for the trails. Over the years the TrailBoss was phased out as technology advanced and the original design of the TrailBoss was never really messed with. Fast forward 12 years and add in the element of complete control of the manufacturing process and Standard’s full scale implementation 
On Sunday July 19th, the West Blaak Skatepark in Rotterdam will be BMX only. During the fourth edition of the Best of Blaak contest the absolute crème de la crème of the Dutch BMX scene will go head to head. Channon Balorean, Rotterdam’s finest and winner of last years’ contest, is full of confidence. Rotterdam is proud to rock the title European city of youth during the year 2009 and the Best of Blaak event seamlessly fits in. Channon Balorean is happy with the support of the local council: ‘This way, the local council enables the level of riders to grow further. It also shows youth a great alternative to petty crime.’One of the main issues of the West Blaak skatepark is the slipperiness of the course due to wax and dust. This time around, the local council is attacking this problem head on. The council has promised to clean the entire course 2 days in advance with a high pressure cleaner, to prevent it to be slippery at any time.
