Fifth Edition “Braun Flatgroundâ€? attracts top International Flatlanders and Breakdancers to Amsterdam September 23 to 25 breakdancers and BMX flatlanders from all over the world will meet in Amsterdam for Braun Flatground. The international festival will be located in the nineteenth century industrial buildings of the Amsterdam Westergasfabriek cultural park, especially decorated by Dutch graffiti artist Zedz. Workshops and contests with riders and dancers from countries as diverse as Japan, the USA and Brazil competing in sensational one-on-one battles, will be backed-up with music from Netherlands’ best hiphop DJs. Opening and after-show parties offer performances of Pete Philly & Perquisite (NL), C-Mon & Kypski (NL) and living hiphop legend Talib Kweli (USA).

Paulie Lange raced an ABA National in Reno, NV last weekend. He raced the new 2006 Sector frame for the first time and pulled off a 7th and 4th in AA Pro. DJ Lavaman and DJ Tommi will work the turntables at the Transbull jam in Utrecht on 17 September 2005. The jam, contest and workshops will be held at the Transwijk skatepark. Photo captions are a nightmare for magazine editors. Coming up with something good and/or funny for every photo drives the editors crazy, especially in times when the deadline is coming up and you're already lacking 3 nights of sleep. At FATBMX we have a maximum number of characters that we can use to go along with every photo. Those appear when you park the browser on the photo and wait a second or two. The Dew Action Sports Tour, the first-ever, season-long professional multi-sport tour in action sports, announced the winner of the PlayStation(r) Trick of the Week Award from the Vans Invitational. Voting began after competitions at the Dew Action Sports Tour's Vans Invitational ended Sunday, August 21. Fans were able to view video clips and vote online at dewactionsportstour.com. Ryan Guettler won the Trick of the Week after he performed a flawless front flip en route to winning the BMX Dirt Finals. Guettler also leads the Dew Cup points standings in BMX Dirt and BMX Park. "This is motivation to keep on pushing the rest of the season," said Guettler. "I'm happy to be consistent this year across two disciplines and leading the points standings in both. I'm also thrilled that the front flip won - it was just a part of my normal routine."

Braun have set up two series this year, one for flatland and one mini ramp tour. The winner of the flatland series wins a Suzuki Motorcycle where the winner of the mini contest series drives home in a Jimny car. Pease note that there are only three stops left for this year to score points:

NEW YORK - August 31, 2005 - The Dew Action Sports Tour, the first-ever, season-long multi-sport professional tour in action sports, will host the International Cycling Union (UCI) BMX Supercross World Cup Finals as the specialty competition at the Toyota Challenge on Friday, September 9 in San Jose, CA. The fourth stop of the Dew Action Sports Tour, the Toyota Challenge takes place September 8-11 at San Jose’s HP Pavilion, and features professional competitions in skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross. The event also includes a Festival Village with interactive courses, video gaming and athlete autograph sessions.

We want to say congratualtions to Dave Freimuth and his wife Patie on the expansion of their family. Yup, it's a son! Here's the 411 from Dave: I just wanted to write and let everyone know that Patie finally let the bun out of the oven. Our new son Thompson was born at 5:16AM this morning after keeping his mother up for 26 hours... Patie did invent a couple new swears, but who can blame her. I'd rather break my pelvis 2 more times before going through what she did last night!
